Today on Teachers’ Day, I proudly salute Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan, the great philosopher, thinker and teacher — and I bow to all my teachers, especially the DAV teachers. I feel truly blessed to have your guidance in my life.
Look around us: the world faces a threat of war — the shadow of terrorism raises its ugly head every now and then — a rise of corrupt practices — and a society that often chooses whisky over wisdom. In such times the mission of Man-Making becomes, not just important, but becomes urgent. For this noble mission, our nation turns to its teachers.
And DAV teachers stand apart. You do not teach just to earn a wage, you teach to shape lives. You mould your students into individuals that the world can admire. You not only impart knowledge, but impart wisdom. When you teach with honesty, sincerity, and devotion, your teaching becomes a prayer. And when teaching becomes a prayer, students gain not just academics, but also values, integrity and character. That is how real man-making happens. So dear teachers, भक्ति भाव से पढ़ाओ, और भारत को विश्व गुरु बनाओ ।
I wish you all a wonderful Teachers’ Day. May the Almighty Bless you with joy, strength, and endless smiles. Keep Smiling Always.
